Are you a technical visionary looking to bridge the gap between creative design and real-world manufacturing? The Council of Industry is seeking a dynamic CAD Drafter and Applications Engineer to join our team, where you will serve as the essential link between our Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments. This is a rare opportunity for an early-career professional or recent graduate to immerse themselves in the high-stakes world of the Selux product line, helping to transform complex client requirements into precise, high-performance lighting solutions that shape the environments around us.

In this role, you won't just be pushing pixels; you will be the architect of project execution. You will master AutoCAD to develop detailed submittal drawings for a diverse range of interior, exterior, and custom projects, while utilizing SolidWorks to create sophisticated layout drawings that drive our production process. If you are a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and wants to see your technical designs come to life, we offer a competitive compensation package of $25.00–$35.00 per hour and the mentorship needed to launch a successful career in industrial engineering.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JS, Java, etc.).
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and version control (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
