Are you ready to launch your career at the intersection of marketing, communications, and public service? The Municipal Employees’ Retirement System (MERS) of Michigan is seeking a dynamic Customer Experience (CX) Coordinator to help shape the future of retirement security for thousands of dedicated public servants. In this role, you won't just be managing data or answering inquiries; you will be a vital storyteller and strategist, translating complex financial concepts into clear, engaging, and supportive communications. If you are a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for human-centered design and a knack for crafting messages that resonate, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of those who serve our communities.

As a key member of our Strategic & External Affairs team, you will dive into the heart of our mission by identifying opportunities to improve our members' journeys through educational outreach and innovative communication tactics. This hybrid position, based in our Lansing office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, offers the perfect balance of collaborative team brainstorming and flexible independent work. You will gain hands-on experience in cross-functional project management, stakeholder engagement, and digital marketing strategy, all while being mentored by industry leaders in a mission-driven environment. If you are a proactive communicator who thrives on solving problems and elevating the customer voice, we invite you to join us in defining what a modern, seamless retirement experience looks like at MERS.
