Jr Embedded Software Developer

At Grvty, we don’t just build technology; we push the boundaries of what is possible beneath the waves. We are looking for a driven, curious, and technically sharp Junior Embedded Software Developer to join our mission in Ventura, CA, and help us engineer the future of autonomous exploration. In this role, you will be at the heart of our groundbreaking Autonomous Undersea Vehicle (AUV) Family of Systems, crafting the mission-critical code that allows our vehicles to navigate, think, and perform complex tasks in the deepest, most challenging environments on Earth.

This is a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between academic theory and real-world impact as you contribute to our advanced guidance, navigation, and controls (GNC) technology. You won’t just be writing lines of code; you will be designing the intelligence that enables our systems to operate autonomously for extended missions where human intervention is impossible. If you are passionate about low-level development, thrive on solving complex hardware-software integration challenges, and are ready to launch your career on the cutting edge of marine robotics, we want to hear from you.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JS, Java, etc.).
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and version control (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
