Are you ready to architect the data backbone of the future? At Openkyber, we are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the technology sector, and we are looking for a visionary Lead Data Engineer to join our mission-driven team. This is not just another coding role; it is an opportunity to take ownership of complex data ecosystems, solve high-stakes challenges, and build scalable infrastructure that powers meaningful insights. If you are passionate about transforming raw information into actionable intelligence and thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, you will find a home here among fellow innovators who value intellectual curiosity and technical excellence.

We are seeking a talented professional who brings at least five years of hands-on expertise in maintaining robust SQL environments and navigating the intricacies of modern data engineering. To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field—such as Computer Science, Data Science, or Mathematics—or demonstrate equivalent mastery through five years of dedicated industry experience. Because our work supports critical infrastructure, candidates must either already possess an active security clearance or be fully eligible for a Public Trust clearance. This is a unique six-month W2 contract opportunity designed for someone who is eager to make a significant impact while working on projects that truly matter.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, JS, Java, etc.).
  • Understanding of software development life cycles and version control (Git).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to technical detail.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
